The Cognitive Intelligence era goes further with AURA

Big Data, Artificial Intelligence and Cloud are the three most important features that are going to dominate the next generation of applications and software. This is a fact, and Telefonica, one of the most important Telecommunications company in the world, has presented in the Mobile World Congress (MWC) the proof that they bet so seriously in that way. They have presented AURA.

AURA is a cognitive intelligence agent for mobiles that is completely build trough AI, BD and Cloud technologies. This application has been created with the aim of giving to the customers the real power of these technologies when they work together. 

This application is a virtual agent build by the latest technologies of Telefonica and its partners to give to the users a complete experience interacting with the virtual agent that they have named AURA.

The skills that the customers can use it are so useful because this is what a virtual agent should do by its users, do useful things to help us to do our life easier and more personalized. 

In the same way I have talked about the skills but I haven't said any of it, so in the presentation they presented some of the skills that AURA can do for you and I can assure you, that a part from useful, these skills are awesome. When I say useful and awesome I am referring to skills like telling you with a notification if is happening a crisis in your city, and they sent you this notification if you are in the city or if you use to live there. And I would like to highlight this because this is the real usage when technologies like AI, BD and Cloud work together. Just in this same way, they have analyze the people's behaviors during other crisis that have happened and they can tell you how the crisis is going to develop. I think that this is a clear example of a useful and awesome skill because further of being cool to find a new way to use these technologies, this virtual agent can save your life and this is something that all of us we should consider.

But if you don't know Telefonica, be patient because in the presentation, they invite to the stage some of the partners that are working with them in this application providing the best technologies and more usability to this app. Among the people that were invited to appear in the presentation, were Peggy Johnson, Executive Vice President of Microsoft; Christopher Fabian, Senior Advisor on Innovation to the Executive Director of Unicef; Sheryl Sandberg, Chief Operating Officer on Facebook; Javier Olivan, Vice Presiden of Growth on Facebook, among others between we have (of course) Jose María Alvarez-Pallete, Chairman and CEO of Telefonica. 

I think that naming this people we should know or imagine the importance of this application. 

But from all this people I would like to comment the paper of Facebook and Microsoft in this association. Facebook is going to work together with Telefonica to alert the people in case of crisis in any way as I have said before. And this could save a lot of lives. In the way that they work with Microsoft, they have access to the technologies that they have and this is key features to them because as was said in Captain America : "together we win and separately we fall" (or something similar). 

In last point I also would like to comment the importance that they show AURA inside Amazon Echo. Yes, it is, I don't know exactly how this partnership goes but if they can use the Alexa's skills, this could give AURA a lot of skills and the usability, because Alexa has reach the 10,000 skills that could be an amazing improve to AURA. 

Finally I would like to say that from my point of view this is the real first all-in-one virtual agent of the next generation, because this virtual agent that you control with your voice (of course you control AURA with voice) can do a lot of the things that we have dreamt in the lasts years all in your pocket and using in a correct way your data at the same time that is data is applied with AI and BD. Also in the same time using the Cloud and techniques of machine learning to be more intelligence. 

The next generation of Cognitive Intelligence application has made another big step to go further.

AI assistants, you will make our life easier

The AI assistant are growing up so quickly in the last year. The development that we (the techies) have seen in the last years have been awesome. We have passed from saying "Ok Google" for googling something on the web to saying "Ok Google" to do almost whatever you want with your smartphone.

Yes I prefer Google than Apple!! But I do not have anything against Apple, moreover I am waiting the next MacBook Pro to buy it :)

But in this post I don't want to speak about the best two companies of the world, I am here to post about the importance that the Chatbot will have in the next years and decades.

First I would like to highlight that I am a lover of the most important and one of the most developed AI systems in the world. Yeah it is, Google. More concretely, the users we can use the Google assistant that is the AI assistant that you are using when you ask for something in Google App or in Google Chrome browser. 

If you use Google assistant daily, you will know that you can use to do almost everything with that. At least in my case I use it to call, send WhatsApp's messages, to open Spotify, to open, pause and play Youtube, to remind me thing, to set the alarm, etc... 

In the way and frequency that I use it, I find it so useful. But the key of this post is that the AI assistants are making our life easier than ever. Now I use my voice to send a WhatsApp or to do almost all.

It's awesome but not enough, I have lost the sum of times that I have checked the Play Store to see if the Google Allo is available.
Yesterday finally after a lot of time waiting I could installed it, and maybe I will do a post only of it, talking about how really it is using daily. 

Ok, Google Allo is one of the most promising Google's product. I am so excited to try it and to use it, furthermore I would like to replace WhatsApp. That's so much but this type of goals is what you can expect when you introduce a message app with the AI's experience and the search engine of a company as Google. 

On the final of this post I attach you the video of the demonstration on live that was shown in the presentation of Google Allo.

Yeah it's amazing!! A real chatbot that goes so well. And let you do this type of things that you can and will able to do with the Google assistant. But you have inside your chat. Unbelievable but true. 

Try to overpass this Siri haha. Ok, I think that I will do a post comparing the three assistants from the best 3 companies of the world. Siri from Apple, Google Assistant from Google and the last player to arrive on the AI assistant's race, Cortana from Microsoft. I only have tried once that, but hopeful near future from this last.

Ok, now imagine that Google let to external companies use their Chatbot (Google assistant and the Chatbot) in the website of the external company as Walmart do with their services of Walmart's webpage. How many people could the companies save introducing the Chatbot as a service in the Sales Department? Yeah it has come to your mind that the companies could get the sales by without a lot of people that now are working as seller.

So what could we say about the potential of the AI assistant in the personal world? Ok they are going to make our life easier but in the professional world they can save to the companies a lot of money. 

But in the professional world the AI could have an unbelievable potential to do it more efficiency and more reliable because with the data (BigData) that the data centers have and the machine learning that we can introduce to them they could be the best professionals. And I say that could be the best professional in each field because the AI have done the things much better than the best professional of each field. For example Deep Blue of IBM a Chess Computer won the World Champion Garry Kasparov in 1996.
DeepMind created a software of the game Go and won the world's best player Lee Sedol for first time ever, and AlphaGo, the name of the program, has done it this year.
The people of DeepMind have created a unique neural network architecture that learn how to play videogames and do it with huge results as we could see with AlphaGo. 

An AI software can detect a disease from a blood test better than a Doctor or can suggest something that the Doctor have not seen. And like this a lot of cases more. But the most important to emphasize is that AI can do a lot of thing better than the best professional of a certain field, but it can't do things that a boy of 5 years can do as seen someone with a certain mood. 

We will see how many years pass until we reach the HLMI (Human Level Machine Intelligence) and then how many days, weeks or months until they (HLMI) reach the SuperIntelligence.

Dragon you are a Dream make it real

As in the last post I spoke about the importance that the AI has taken and it will take in the near future, in this post I am going to talk about how the last successful launches that SpaceX has done and what I think that represents for the human advance. 

The truth is that the last launch of SpaceX (CRS-9 launched on 7/27/2016), it has been one of the most successful mission that SpaceX has done, at least in my opinion of course. I say this because when I watched the falcon landing again, this time not in the droneship, it was as something normal because it has been successful in almost all the attempts of this year. But in the moment on July 20th when the Nasa and SpaceX began to share photos of the Dragon from the International Space Station ISS, it was something as the firsts times that I watched the Falcon 9 landing in the droneship.

Yesterday was an important day by SpaceX, NASA and the human species, I can say this out loud because NASA said with a tweet in their Twitter account that they ordered the second SpaceX mission to send astronauts to ISS.

This is the tweet published by NASA  in their official Twitter account. 

This mean that SpaceX can do an important step in the second space race. I say second space race because the first time was done it by the governments and nations but this second space race is done it by private companies founded or co-founded by Elon Musk (SpaceX), Jeff  Bezos (Blue Origin) and Richard Branson (Virgin).

But if we go further and we try to know when the normal people (wealthiest people only) will able to fly to the ISS or to the Moon. And more important, how many could cost this amazing and unrepetable trip to the people that want to have a unique experience with microgravity in the ISS.
I know that if I do not create a successful startup, I won't able to go there but at least let us dream Sr. Musk.

The AI has arrived to remain here. Fatally accident with Tesla Model S.

In this first post of this blog I am going to comment a notice that have touch a sensitive issue on Tesla and Artificial Intelligence.

I am talking about the traffic accident that have cost the life of Joshua Brown. 

Joshua Brown had a fatal accident that finished with his life when he was in the Autopilot feature in his Tesla Model S. 

And in this post I would like to talk about and know your opinion about how this fatal accident can stop the development of the Artificial Intelligence, or on the other hand can accelerate the development of AI learning from the mistakes. 

First of all I would like to give the condolences to the family and friends by the loss that they have had.

In my opinion I would like to think that the mistakes that the Tesla model S had, could help to the developers to avoid it and to improve our security in the near future because we need as a world to develop and improve the AI world to advance as a world. And the politicians would not put obstacles in the middle of the path to avoid the AI technologies or to develop it in a slowly way. I really think that the AI have arrived here in this world to remain and to introduce it in almost all the technologies that we have today in our homes and the latest technologies that have to arrive in the next years.

Moreover Tesla have improve so much in the last years in the AI world and I really think that they have done one of the toughest steps to introduce in a fully way in our world. 

I am an specialist on Marketing and I can tell to all you that we could use the AI in many ways. And in the Marketing world the AI have an insane potential.
